WHAT IS COVER ART?

Cover Art quilted book covers are original pieces of practical quilt art. Using my techniques for manipulating fabric and fast2fuse (a heavyweight interfacing), almost any quilted creation can adorn the outside of a book. Cover Art techniques have been used to produce covers for: journals, notebooks, binders, sketchpads, steno pads, Bibles, scrapbooks of all sizes, brag books, checkbooks, purses, wallets, bookmarks and brag books. 

In 2007, my first book, “Fast, Fun & Easy Book Cover Art,” was released by C&T Publishing. Based mostly on my original techniques, “Fast, Fun & Easy Book Cover Art” shows even the novice crafter/sewer how to turn small quilts into book covers using quiltmaking techniques and fast2fuse.

These projects are perfect for small amounts of fabric, leftover quilt blocks and many use scrapbook embellishments, beads, doo-dads, buttons, threads, yarns, photo transfers and more “stuff” to enhance and personalize the designs. Cover Art projects make wonderful, personal and treasured gifts and serve as a fabulous canvas for fiber art creations with a useful result.
